'Arry's an arachnid -
“spider” to you and me.
He has eight legs, lives in a web
and catches flies for tea.
Some people don't like 'Arry.
They think he's very scary
with eyes and fangs and long long legs
That really are quite hairy!
When they find 'Arry in the bath
or in the sink, quite smug,
They quickly turn the tap on
and wash him down the plug!
But 'Arry's really harmless.
I promise you it's true
That when you scream at 'Arry
He's more afraid of you!
So next time you meet 'Arry
Don't screech and flap about -
just scoop him up into a jar
and gently put him out.
